It looks like sareegalaxy does every saree in plus size and they just charge extra!

What kinds of other hindu clothing are there for women?

    Hare Krsna,

You can sometimes get discounts buying through Ebay. They sell Kurta pajamis, Salwar Kameez and Saris. Some sellers you can special order sizes.

    Namaskar Catnip,

Once I had a chance to really get a sense of my size I found I quite like Fab India for Kurti/Kameez and both Shalwar and Churidar - but I much prefer Shalwar myself. Fab India's sizes are very standardized. I am a 42" shoulder and 46" bust, and every single time their large size fits me very well - sometimes better than tailored. The XL is a 46" shoulder.

I have several female friends here that will often buy spandex workout/yoga pants at TJ Max or Macys and wear those in place of Churidar, when in a tight spot. Just make sure they're matte and not shiny.
When in a tight spot myself, I will wear black, non-denim slacks under a Kurti. I have seen other women do this as well.

I admire that you wear Sari. I have one very lovely Sari that I would love to wear, but I don't have the courage. I understand the need to wear more practical clothing for western life, especially in winter, but I hope you don't stop wearing Saris. If you have a Temple to visit on occasion, you might ask some of the women there where they shop. Sometimes there are places you will never find until you're a part of the community.

    Namaskar,

I too, have that problem. If there is a Little India/Pakistan near you, you should be able to find a small shop that will custom make a shalwar kameez for you.

I have bought 2 saris , cut one up and stitched it to first one to get the appropriate length. I use matching short sleeved tee shirts instead of choli

Petticoats are easy to sew from lengths of cotton fabric.

Triveni Saris are often long enough that you do not need to alter them. They usually come with a separate blouse piece.

I like saris because I can adjust them to my changing weight.

    Good luck!

    Devi
