I will take Believer's advice in not doing intellectual vomit. To understand more about Nanak's definition of God; and understand why its not self-contradictory, you should read Prof Sahib Singh (who incidently was born a Hindu)
Just wanted to give alternative view of Sikh's relationship with British.
1. Percentage of Freedom Fighters executed by British -
Sikhs represented 1-2% of general population, but represented 70-80% of freedom fighters executed between 1857-1947
2. Similar percentage for people jailed in KalaPani
3. When British decided to teach indians a lesson, they chose Jallianwala Bagh and killed 1000s of sikhs
4. Nehru chose Lahore to announce his declaration of 1931 in the middle of sikh heartland.
Now, to call sikhs "loyal" to British seems out of place
