Re: Ka'bah is the center of the world

The "logic" Muslims use to "prove" this is nonsense actually.

(1)The center of a sphere cannot be on its surface. So, neither Kaaba nor any other place *on* earth can be its center.

(2)Then Muslims claim that Kaaba is the "golden ratio" point on earth. That claim too has been debunked here.

(3)Depending on which way you hold a map and which latitude/longitude one starts with as reference point, nearly every point on earth can be proven to be the "golden ratio" point.

Ka'bah, in Mecca in Saudi Arabia was a Hindu pilgrimage site in pre-Islamic time.

The word Ka'bah has come from Kabaali refers to Lord Shiva, Ka’bah is not an Arabic word, and the Arabic word of Ka’bah is Baitullah al -Hahram.

The black stone at Ka’bah is held sacred and holy in Islam and is called "Hajre Aswad" from the Sanskrit word Sanghey Ashweta or Non-white stone. The Shiva Lingam is also called Sanghey Ashweta.

What is in Ka’bah is the same what Hindus worship. The Ka’bah shrine is also a pre-Islamic. In Hinduism, the pedestal of Brahma the creator is octagonal in shape. The pedestal Maqam-E-Ibrahim at the centre of the Ka’bah is also octagonal in shape.

Hindus invariably circumambulate or do Pradakshina, around their deities. Muslim who visit Ka’bah also go around it seven times, in no other mosque does the circumambulation prevail.

Muslims use crescent moon as their symbol but don't know about the origin of this symbol. The crescent moon is always painted across the forehead of the Siva symbol. Since that symbol was associated with the Shiva emblem in Ka’bah.

Wherever there is a Shiva emblem, Pavitra Jal must co-exist as it fells from Shiva's jata. A fount still exists near the Ka’bah known as Zam-Zam, and Muslims still held it sacred.

Worship of Ka’bah also shows that the claim of Islam’s oppose of worshiping stones is not true.

Four Hindu doctors have been gunneddown in Pakistan's southern Sindh province, sparking fears and panic among theminority community.
The doctors were gunned down yesterdayat their clinic in Chak town close to Shikarpur.
Dr Ramesh Kumar, a former member ofprovincial assembly and chief patron of Pakistan Hindu Council, confirmed thatDr Ashok, Dr Naresh, Dr Ajeet and Dr Satia Paul were killed by armed assailantswhile working in their clinic.
“This is not the first time such anincident has taken place where members of our community have been targeted. What is of concern is that the law enforcement agencies tend to support thecriminals involved in such acts,” Dr Kumar told PTI.
“There is a strong population of around50,000 Hindus in Chak so for such an incident to happen is bad and thegovernment must take notice of it and provide protection to minorities,” Kumardemanded

When Islam is respected in Hindu majority country and provinces so much and Hinduism is always overlooked then such incidents will happen where Hindus are minority, nobody will care for Hindus where they are soft targets. It is already difficult for Hindus to make a living there and those who are able to do so are living on the mercy on anti-Hindus.

    Where did you get this...?

And yes, Kaaba is indeed an Arabic word. It means high place with prestige and respect. Many people also believe the word came from another Arabic word that means cube.

Muslims use the crescent moon because it was a symbol of the Ottoman Empire. The use of the crescent moon came after the death of Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) and was not present in the days early Islam.

And just to say, Muslims do NOT worship the Kaaba. We just face the Kaaba when we pray. That does not mean we are worshiping it. The qibla (direction) unites the Muslims as a global community and also provides a universal symbol of Islam. Muslims used to face Jerusalem for a time. The Kaaba is a structure said to have been built by Adam (AS) and then rebuilt by Prophet Abraham (AS).

Any Muslim who kills an innocent soul is going to spend some serious time in the Jahannum (hell).

It is more than that, OCC ! Islam came only in 7th Century AD. The history of mankind and spirituality was already several thousands years old. Mecca was highly respected place of worship for the pagans including the tribes who later converted to Islam. When Muhammad got victory in Mecca he, according to his faith, believed that idol-worship was a sin on the lines of the Judaism. It is quite probable that Muhammad got influenced with this doctrine due to his marriage with a Jew lady before he was called a prophet. Due to his strong belief that idol-worship was an evil, he destroyed/burnt all idols kept in the holy place of Mecca. Most of these idols were made of wood. KAbA too was one of the idols of stone in the same holy place which was worshiped by almost all tribes in the region irrespective of their differences in the images of Gods that they worshiped. The reason was that this black stone was very old ... people believed that it came from sky (the remains of meteorite ??) .

It is not known why Muhammad left this stone untouched ... may be for fear of attracting wrath of many tribes who had very high respect for the stone. It is really not known.

I admit, terming the stone a Shiva linga is a little too much stretching of the imagination. However, the idol-worshiping Pagans held some beliefs which were very close to those of the Hindus.

Wow. Really? That's a great relief. All the friends and relatives of the slain Hindu doctors will feel much better now.
