    Namaste from Canada

    Namaste everyone,

Looking forward to interacting with everyone. I feel like my calling is in Shiva and I have a lot of admiration for Swami Viveknanda. As a kid I used to go Ramkrishna Mission libraries quite a lot (though to read Hardy Boys novels ).

    Namaste aupmanyav,

I am a biophysicist. I am currently located in Canada where I teach and do research. I grew up in a Hindu household, but was never very religious. However, as my knowledge of history of Hinduism has increased, I have started to have a renewed appreciation for it. Swami Vivekananda's advaita vedanta has influenced me quite a bit. I find it quite interesting that Swamiji himself was a big supporter of scientific endeavour.

Are there many advaita vedantist's on this forum ?

    Re: Namaste from Canada

It is suggested that I start with a salutation. So, I will use what is common in the region from where I am (Rajasthan). Jai Ram ji ki.

I am also new to the forum. But I suppose there must be many 'advaitists'. Of course, 'advaitists' also come in many hues. I am an atheist advaitist. Religion and science are the same. Both search for truth.
