Re: Can dancing Ganesha idol be kept at home?

Yea, God doing destruction is for all goodness,
    He destroy the hindrance etc
but why they think God destruction is destroy the peace of their family ?

Off course God will destroy all families when the time is come ( as death ) one by one or whatever according to the karma.

Yes God already do destruction now, like : Our body is getting older, sick etc. Or when we sick , He destroy the illness and we get health.

So what kind of Horor They think about God ?

    Namaste Virajaji,

I found it interesting in the OP link you gave that it is said that Dakshinabhimukhi idols shouldn't be gifted or kept in home and are rarely found there. This is the first I've heard of this, though perhaps that's not surprising. LOL I will agree that such murthis are quite active, but to be honest I have yet to find a Ganesha murthi that isn't.

The core of my own puja room altar is a form of Maha Ganesha which is Dakshinabhimukhi. He was gifted to me many years ago and before I had a puja room or even made regular offerings to Him, He was always at the center of my living space watching over all. Because He has been with me from then in this form, actively guiding me, this Image is the one I keep for Puja now, and because He has generally guided me since I was a child He stands at the center of my Altar, even though He is not my Ishta-Devata.

I'm not sure what the author of the blog meant by "special puja rituals", I doubt I have ever performed them for Him and have felt no dissatisfaction or had any ill effects of that. I do however sometimes get a sense of something He might like or enjoy, and then I will always try do that. So I let Him guide me in how to worship Him, and try to apply new learning in doing better as well. Perhaps this is really all that's needed, or perhaps He's just happy I try.
