A Bhajan to Lord Ganesha Made with Synths

    Namaste HDF,

I don't know if any of you read my other post on the game/music maker Fract OSC, but in case you haven't, I've made a thread about it in the Canteen here:

    http://www.hindudharmaforums.com/showthread.php?t=12819

The reason why I'm bringing this up in the Indian Arts section is because a friend of mine from Bangalore in India suggested I try adapting classical Indian songs with the Fract OSC music maker. I genuinely thought this was a good idea, so I started with the (relatively) simple bhajan to Lord Ganesha, called Jai Ganesha Deva:

I realize I might be opening myself up to potential scrutiny and criticism by doing this, but my friend from India had a firm belief that this would be accepted and supported by potential listeners. I have yet to discern if this was a bad idea or not - I guess I'll find out. If this offends anyone I do apologize; all I ask is that you give me the benefit of a doubt and know that I did this not out of intentional malice but genuine devotion.

I hope the forum goers here understand...but if this offends people I'm not adverse to taking it down.

    Namaste,

I'm not seeing much of a response to this...I hope it's due to people not having the time or inclination to view it as opposed to this causing offense. If this is somehow offensive, please tell me why.

    Hari Om!

Took time to view both your link and that to which you were compiling from. Interesting is the word that comes to mind. Have never experienced this as it is completely new to me until today.

Am hoping that you are able to find an audience for your venture.

    Om
