    Re: Christian Brahamana!

The news is indeed very sad... 2 other conversion tactics I noticed Christian missionaries use in the South Asia are:

    1. To construct a church to look like a temple - I read a little ago in the popular Tamil e-magazine 'Dinamalar' a father in Indonesia who had contructed a temple for worshiping Christ. This 'temple' (which infact is a 'Church') looks exactly like a typical South Indian temple, with garba-graha, pillars and all.. The idea, no need to mention, is to allure Hindus by telling them 'worship is no different from worshiping a Hindu god'.

    2. In the same magazine, I read sometime back that in the villages of TamilNadu, India, Christian missions are advertising 'special pujas' on 'Ashtami/Navami tithis or on Amavasya nights'!! And 'that all are welcome to ward off negative influences from life'.

On the other hand, of the modern-day SriVaishnava scholars, born-Christian Dr. D.A.Joseph has gained so much prominence and the good-will of many. Most of his upanyasas, available for free-viewing in Youtube are just pure bliss to hear. He too feels so threatened by the hostility of other Christians due to his conversion and service as a SriVaishnava, he has written in his facebook page:

    “My dear Hindu friends,

Christian fanatics who are not happy about my conversion to Sri Vaishnavism try to attack me super naturally. They try to create diseases like dysentery, vomiting, BP etc beyond medical scrutiny. Lord Narayana is already protecting me. You please pray for me, so that I may remain immune to all these. Please conduct group prayers. Adepts in Manthrikam may please help me.

Yours at the feet of Sri Ramanuja,

    D.A.Joseph.”

    I empathize with Sri D.A.Joseph!

Vannakkam: These guys have one goal, and that is to spread Christianity. The deceptive tactics are nothing new. The best we can do is to educate our own and protest when we can.

    Very true, EMji!

However, as I read in another thread which said as Kali progresses mother Ganga will disappear and that Hindus will become almost extinct, I feel that owing to clever conversion tactics, it would be unavoidable for our future generations to embrace Abrahamic religions! (I truly wish this does not happen).

    Admin note

Closing this thread. Sorry grames. Xianity is something we stopped paying attention to on HDF as it only brings grief here.
