Om & Aum are same. OM is what IS. It is considered auspicious to invoke AUM/OM before any mantra. "Hrim" is one of the Beej Mantra of Mother Goddess. It is a powerful sound for invoking mother Goddess. Shri is another name of Mother Goddess. "Lakhsmibhyo namah" ====> I bow to (goddess) Lakhsmi).

"Sarasvatyai namah" ====> I bow to (Goddess) Sarasvati ( Goddess of knowledge).

    OM
    "Om Namo Bhagvate Vaasudevaye"

    Namah Namah,

What is that all attractive dark being to which the Heaven and Earth (Aswins) are lured by the song of flute? Is it the bliss of Shushupti?

    RV. 8.53
ayaṁ vāṁ kṛṣṇo aśvinā havate vājinīvasū |
    madhvaḥ somasya pītaye |8.85.3|
śṛṇutaṁ jariturhavaṁ kṛṣṇasya stuvato narā |
    madhvaḥ somasya pītaye |8.85.4|

Here Krishna is invoking you, O Ashvins, Lords of ample wealth. To drink the savoury Soma juice. Listen, Heroes, to the singer's call, the call of Krishna lauding you, To drink the savoury Soma juice.
We understand the soma bliss of shushupti only a little and we do not understand why the darkness? Why the ignorance? And who will destroy the demons of desire that actually hide the brightness of the thousand suns?

    RV
8.096.12 Perform those rites of yours that Indra may accept them; praise him to whom praise belongs, worship him with your service; O priest, adorn thyself, grieve not (for poverty); let Indra hear your praise, may he speedily give much wealth.

8.096.13 The swift-moving Kr.s.n.a with ten thousand (demons) stood on the Am.s'umati_; by his might Indra caught him snorting (in the water); he, benevolent to man, smote his malicious (bands).

8.096.14 "I have seen the swift-moving (asura) lurking in an inaccessible place, in the depths of the river Am.s'umati_, (I have seen) Kr.s.n.a standing there as (the sun) in a cloud; I appeal to you, showerers; conquer him in battle". Though the Asura thinks he is concealing himself, he is seen as clearly by Indra as the sun is behind a cloud.

8.096.15 Then the swift-moving one (Krishna), shining forth assumed his own body by the Am.s'umati_, and Indra with Br.haspati as his ally smote the godless hosts as they drew near.

8.096.16 As soon as you were born, Indra, you were an enemy to those seven who had no enemy; you recovered the heavens and earth when concealed (in darkness); you cause joy to the mighty worlds.
    -------------------------
Shushupti, appearing dark, revealed His shining form to Indra, only after, Indra destroyed the demons of desire and ignorance that hid the true form.

We know sleep as dark. But Mandukya describes it as Sarvesvara, bliss, Pragnya Ghana. The envelope of darkness caused by desires is destroyed by Indra under supervision of Brihaspati.

May my prayer be accepted by auspicious friend of man -- Lord Indra.

    Om Namah Shivaya

Lord, may the darkness of shushupti be destroyed, revealing the star of piercing brighness. May the Godless hosts, the yadus be vanquished.

    Re: I am Shiva

    Shiva

I am Shiva, the voice of destruction,
and the voice of the mountain
I appear in earthquakes, as matter crashes and separates,
and I come forth out the abyss.

    I am bright and dark
    Male and female
The spirit which cracks through matter
As I rise through destruction, I am the burning sky.

I can save whom I choose,
and they are brought back to their roots in Truth
I create layer upon layer, form upon form,
And my three eyes mark the points of the sacred triangle
The yantra through which the devotee may travel.

The flames of destruction are the fires of creation,
and I make and remake worlds
My devotees travel the roads of blue lightning through the storm clouds,
    praying to Shiva
Lord of the Dance of the Universe.

The myths make me old, lame, drunk, lustful, and uncaring
I am not old but ancient beyond days
Not lame but holding back from action, for my power can destroy
Not drunk but full of the soma of universal vision.

Not lustful but passionate in the grasping of changing forms,
and the creation of new ones
Uncaring that all things must change eternally.

In fire, my dark side is the smoke,
and my bright side is the flame
My brilliance is the blue at the wick
My devotees must beware, for they come to identify with my power,
and they believe they have my spirit
Instead they have insight into my actions
And the tiny grain of my power that they grasp swells their egos
    into identification with me
This is dangerous, and in future lives they will fall
Devotees seek the bliss of merging into the fullness of my power
But none on earth have gained identification
The world is a place of Maya with many false claimants
Who use me as a flag to conquer land and people.

Meditate on the bursting open of sky and earth,
and on fiery rain and blue-white lightning
    Beyond these are Kailash
Whose icy caves are the crystal yantras of light which create worlds
    Enter the yantras of light,
and their centers will melt away into great tunnels of light
In my form as brilliance, I am infinite Truth
And all things return to me.
That which is without letters (parts) is the Fourth, beyond apprehension through ordinary means, the cessation of the phenomenal world, the auspicious and the non-dual. Thus Om is certainly the Self. He who knows thus enters the Self by the Self.

    Re: I am Shiva

    "Bhog matra samya lingacch."

    "Jagad vyaparr varrjam."

    - Vedanta sutra.

There is a huge difference between the Jeeva and Brahm,so says the VEDANTA !!!!

Jagad vyapar varjjam- Only God can enter, maintain and destroy the universe. This is the difference between Jeevatma and Paramatma.

Brgu rishi tells his father,Varun in the shruti,"Ananda is Brahm. It is ananda from whom the universe is created, maintained and destroyed."

Shankaracharya commented on the ten specific sutras in the vedanta which completely decry the siddhanta that jeeva is Brahm.

In those,he Accepted that Jeeva is different from Brahm.

Srila Veda Vyasa is very staunch in this regard.
