Looking for 24-mantra version of Purusha Sukta
Namaste devotees,
There is a 24-mantra version of the Purusha Sukta that I commonly see translated on the internet and referenced in some Vedaanta commentaries. I am trying to find out from what scripture this version of the PS can be found. The one in Rig Veda 10.90 has only 16 mantras. I've heard it said that a version of it exists in each of the other Veda Samhitas but the citations I read from Wikipedia and a few other internet sources did not give me adequate information to find it. Any help would be much appreciated. Philosoraptor |

Re: Looking for 24-mantra version of Purusha Sukta
The 24 mantra version is from the Taittiriya Yajurveda, it is a combination of 18 verses from the Krishna Yajurvediya Purusha Sukta and the Uttara Narayana.

Re: Looking for 24-mantra version of Purusha Sukta
Thanks, but what I was looking for specifically was the exact verse numbers in which each part could be found. Would you happen to know those?

Look at the Taittiriya Aranyaka, third prashna 12th and 13th hymn.
