Hawaii Hindu Mutt
Hawaii has a hindu Mutt called Kauai Hindu Monastry. Their website is

The monastry was founded by a western Hindu Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami . You can learn about swamiji here

The mutt has a publication called hinduism today whose website is www.hinduismtoday.com . They are also available on quarterly editions at your local Borders or Barnes and Noble store in the US.

The mutt has two temples on Lord Shiva. Check out the photos of this 425 acre mutt.

Shivaya Subramunia Swami represented a Nandinatha parampara of Shaiva-siddhanta, an earlier tradition than Meikandar's parampara current in Tamilnadu nowadays.

He was a very good person and advanced Yogi. My Kulacharya knew him personally and acknowledged as a true Shaiva Master.

I live in Hawaii but on the wrong Island, they seem very intellectual from what I've heard of them.
